Provide Students in Construction Scholarships

Irvine, Calif. - ehs International, Inc., (ehsInc) is pleased to announce a partnership with University of California San Diego (UCSD) Extension to offer scholarships, the ehsInc Cares Scholarship, for students choosing a career path in construction. The scholarship represents an investment in the development of future industry professionals in the Southern California region.

“The team at ehsInc is committed to the success of students pursuing careers in the construction industry, specifically the environmental health and safety field” said Marjorie Del Toro, President ehsInc. “Protecting our workforce for future generations is a foundation of our business and we believe developing the next generation is key to upholding that value. The partnership with UCSD Extension is a great fit for both ehsInc and the University. We are looking forward to continuing to find new opportunities to grow the workforce of tomorrow.”

In the spirit of creating new opportunities for students, two yearly scholarships will be awarded based on eligibility, qualifications and the availability of funds. Individuals wishing to submit an application must do so before the deadline of May 4, 2018. Priority will be given to individuals with experience in construction or those who have completed course work in related fields. Interested candidates can learn more and fill out an application by clicking here.

In addition to the scholarship UCSD Extension and ehsInc have aligned to bring students higher level, technology based, hands-on safety training. Through this partnership students and clients will have complimentary access to safety tailgates, monthly webinars and preferred rates for most services. Del Toro states “This will strengthen the career prospects for current and future students while assisting with the labor shortage of the construction industry.”
