Kaila Krichmar - Recipient of the CWEA 2023 President's Award

Every year, the CWEA President presents the President’s Award to CWEA members who have made ongoing and significant contributions to the CWEA community and our profession. There are never more than 4 of these awards presented in any given year, and they are completely at the discretion of the CWEA President to award.

CWEA Past President Jeffery Tucker said this:

Kaila's commitment to making the new Southern Safety Day a reality was impressive, as was her energy in promoting the activities and importance of the safety committee. Because of her efforts, I have decided to award her with the President’s Award this year.

National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction Week - May 1-5, 2023

Anyone who wants to prevent hazards in the workplace can participate in the Stand-Down. Companies can conduct a Safety Stand-Down by taking a break to have a toolbox talk or another safety activity, such as conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, or discussing job-specific hazards.
