Late summer has been a busy and inspiring stretch for the ehsInc family. Between a national gathering of construction leaders, a nationwide push for workplace safety, and a proud moment for two of our own, there's a lot to celebrate. Here's a look back at what we've been part of, and why it matters to the work we do every day.
NAWIC Annual Conference in Reno (August 12–15)
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Annual Conference is a premier event that brings together industry leaders to network, share knowledge, and access professional development opportunities. This year's conference took place in Reno, and it delivered on its promise to raise the bar.
The conference fosters innovation, leadership growth, and collaboration across the entire construction spectrum, from the jobsite to the boardroom. For a company like ours, which has spent nearly three decades helping employers build strong safety cultures, those values hit close to home. Safer jobsites start with leaders who invest in people, share what they know, and open doors for the next generation.
Thank you, Reno! NAWIC has already announced that next year's Annual Conference is headed to New Orleans, and we can't wait to see what 2027 brings.
OSHA Safe + Sound Week (August 10–16)
Last month we were proud to help spread the word about OSHA's Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace safety and health programs and shares ideas for keeping America's workers safe.
Safe + Sound Week is built around a simple idea: effective safety programs aren't a one-time effort. They're rooted in management leadership, worker participation, and a steady practice of finding and fixing hazards before they cause harm. OSHA encourages employers to carry that "Safe + Sound mindset" all year long, not just for one week in August.
A New Year for NAWIC Orange County (September 1)
On September 1, NAWIC Orange County kicked off its new year, and ehs International is proud to support this year's theme, "Building Careers and Community," along with everything the chapter stands for.
We're especially excited to congratulate our very own Marjorie Del Toro and Corrie Chan on their board positions this year! We're so proud to see them stepping up as leaders in this organization and giving back to a community that has given so much to women in our industry. Their dedication reflects the heart of our team, and we know they'll make a lasting impact.
Here's to another year of building each other up.
