OSHA Launches National Emphasis Program (NEP) on Outdoor and Indoor Heat Hazards

OSHA is launching a targeted program to protect workers across the nation from the increasing threat of heat-related illness.

So, what exactly is the National Emphasis Program (NEP) on heat?

OSHA will proactively inspect more than 70 high-risk industries in indoor and outdoor work settings when the National Weather Service has issued a heat warning or advisory for a local area.🥵☀️

The NEP was in effect on April 8th, 2022, and will remain in effect for three years unless canceled or extended by a superseding directive.
