Feeling HOT HOT HOT!

Have you had enough heat stress prevention awareness training? The answer should always be NEVER!

You could never have enough training on over exposure to the sun when working outdoors. This topic is a focal point for OSHA and it should be for you as well.

Feel free to download our safety talk handout on Heat Illness Prevention by clicking on the image here.

Remember to brief your workers before exposing them to outdoor work on the importance of taking cool-down preventative rest breaks, staying hydrated, and accessing shade.

Your workers should also know how to recognize the symptoms of the different types of heat illnesses and know what to do in the event of an emergency.

One last thing, your employer is required to have a Heat Stress Prevention written program developed and implemented and all affected employees must read it and have access to it.
