OSHA UPDATE - Handbook Revision for Small Businesses
OSHA NEWS!
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration collaborated with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to revise a handbook on workplace safety and health information for small business employers.
The Small Business Safety and Health Handbook highlights the benefits of implementing an effective safety and health program, provides self-inspection checklists for employers to identify workplace hazards and review important workplace safety and health resources for small businesses.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has published a request for information seeking information and public input as the agency considers updates to its mechanical power presses standard.
OSHA will use the information received to determine what action, if any, it may take to reduce regulatory burdens while maintaining worker safety.

IMPORTANT OSHA UPDATE - Grants for Non-Profit Organizations
IMPORTANT OSHA NEWS!
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration reminds non-profit organizations that more than $21 million in training grants are available.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 provides $10 million for Workplace Safety and Health Training on Infectious Diseases, including the coronavirus grants.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scheduled a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021.
ACCSH advises the Secretary of Labor and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on construction standards and policy matters. It was established under the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
